Broad content of the role
Technical Architect within the Application Technology Development group are responsible for the technical architecture in the Internet Web Services technology, driving the architectural vision for the future and ensuring the architecture is fit for purpose..
Key Tasks
Ensures architectural integrity of all components inside IWS technology stream
Contributing to IWS strategy and generating Component Product Proposals
Creation of product requirement specification and analysis
Managing change request
Resolving technical issues and provide solution within the technology area
Mentoring and coaching the team

Qualifications and education
Essential qualifications:
B.E. / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent qualification in technical discipline.
Experience
Essential experience:
Minimum 7 years software development industry experience
Minimum 3 years embedded C++ experience
Solid Object Oriented Design experience at system and component level
HTTP knowledge and hands on experience
Desired experience:
Hands-on experience with related technologies, e.g. Telnet, FTP, TCP/IP & WSP Protocols, HTML, XHTML & XML Specifications
Knowledge of URI syntax
Symbian OS experience
Symbian Internet and Web Services Technologies knowledge
Knowledge of apache servers (to understand the testing suites)
Member of an appropriate industry body: OMA, W3C or IETF
Previous experience of working with remote teams
Developing software for mobile telephony devices.
Experience as a team/technical lead.
Specific skills
